Special Ramadan: chebakia "Sboula" recipe I proposed
many Chebakia recipes before, chebakia griwech,
chebakkia bouchnikha, chebakia bligha. Today, I present
you a new version of chebakkia, with fewer ingredients
than regular chabakia and even the Folding is different.
I show you on video the folding details, for those who have
difficulty folding the normal chebakia, this one is much easier.

 

Ingredients

1 cup ground, sifted sesame seeds

1 cup ground, sifted almonds

1 cup olive oil + veggie oil

1 cup melted butter

2 tsp ground, sifted anise

2 tsp cinnamon

1 Tbsp white vinegar

saffron

1 tsp baking powder

a pinch of nutmeg

1/2 tsp yeast

1/2 tsp ground mace

2 Tbsp orange blossom water

5 cups flour

salt

water

Here are some juice recipes to base this concentrated fruit from,
I chose to present three different juices with different
flavors, you can of course vary the fruits depending on the season.
As I told you in the video, this concentrated lemon base
will help you a lot especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

Makrout Recipe  مقروط

Makrout is an Algerian cookie that we love to prepare

during the month of Ramadan. Makrout is prepared in

two ways, fried makrout, or baked in the oven, both

coated in honey. For the filling, I used in this recipe date

paste  that you can buy or you can prepare at home by

steaming dates. It is very important to allow the semolina

mixture to absorb the butter at least an hour, if you want

to get very tender makrout.

Fricadelles are meatballs patties from Germany, 

they are tasty  and sometimes covered with  bread

crumbs. They are easy to prepare, to freeze and they

are very popular for children, the first time that I had prepared 

these patties, was in Germany and my kids loved it. I usually

serve them with vegetable or potato gratin.


INGREDIENTS


500g ground meat
235g breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 onion
1 tsp salt
1 tsp paprika
Pepper 1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp cumin

Briouat a la viande hachee1

 

Briouats is an easy recipe, quick to prepare, 
briouats can be stuffed sweet or savory, mostly served

during Ramadan, I filmed the recipe mainly because of

video below. I stuffed the briouats this time with ground

meat, eggs and spices.

Briouats Cigares au riz1

One more time here is a typical Moroccan recipe Briouats rolls

with Rice and Almonds. I will start soon to prepare recipes on

video for the month of Ramadan,  so that you can have a wide

selection of Ramadan recipes to impress your guests. 

I chose a roll shape but of course you can change the shape

to a traditional briouat. The important thing is the technique 

to fold the briouats so that the stuffing does not 

come out during cooking.
